About This Project
As lead developer on the project, I was in charge of the project's development and coordinating efforts with other teams, including design, database, and devops teams. I developed the MVC application using Play Framework for Java with one other developer. I designed the application’s backend classes, wrote most of the controllers, as well as implemented many of the front end features. We took advantage of AJAX to provide dynamic interactions for the users. After a company restructuring, I took sole ownership of the application, migrated the application to new servers on AWS, rebuilt the database, and implemented a redesign of the application, which included new features and database changes. The final feature set included: user authentication, badging, content creation, dynamic content display, content filtering, location finder, infinite scroll, responsive design.
